Internships
AFA HUB’s Internship Program provides individuals with hands-on, real-world work experience in supportive and structured environments. Our program is designed to help participants explore career interests, build practical job skills, and gain confidence while working toward long-term employment goals.
Through paid and unpaid internship opportunities, participants engage in meaningful work that aligns with their strengths, interests, and individualized career plans. Internships are developed in collaboration with community partners and employers, offering participants the opportunity to learn workplace expectations, develop professional skills, and demonstrate their abilities in real employment settings.
Our Internship Program may include:
Career exploration and internship matching
Paid and unpaid internship opportunities
Development of technical and transferable job skills
Workplace readiness and soft skills training
Support with onboarding, scheduling, and workplace expectations
On-site and remote job coaching, as appropriate
Employer collaboration and progress monitoring
Skill documentation and performance feedback
Transition planning from internship to competitive or customized employment
Internships serve as a bridge between learning and employment, allowing participants to gain experience, build resumes, and make informed career decisions. Our goal is to support individuals in moving from internship experiences into sustainable, meaningful employment aligned with their long-term goals.
